Eastside Rangers won the Dave Pankhurst Charity Shield beating White Hart 3-2 in an entertaining game at Peacehaven FC. Goals from Paul O'Donnell and Dan Bateman gave Rangers a 2-0 lead, White Hart fought back to equalise with 10 minutes to go through goals by Louis Brown and Ben Courtnage, however a Dan Bateman strike 5 minutes from time sealed the game for Rangers.

Thanks to those to attended for a worthy cause.

There has been the question of referees fees raised so here is a reminder of the costs/expenses that can be charged in the Lewes & District Sunday Football League.

The match fee is £26.
Expenses are 32p/mile up to a maximum of £10.

Wherever possible, games will be taken into account where they are played but this may not always be possible.
Also, this may lead to referees refereeing the same teams week in week out which is not a good thing.
The Referee Secretary is very conscious of the running expenses facing football teams and will try and minimise them wherever possible.

Clubs are reminded that for Sussex County Challenge Cup/Trophy games you will need to contact your opponents and referee to confirm the game via phone/email.

Clubs are reminded that they must confirm their matches (League and LDSFL Cups matches only) with opponents and referee using the websites match confirmation system. Clubs are liable to a fine if they do not comply with this.
